Frequently asked questions

The questions players ask most about WarCrest Online: getting started, what the game holds, how the store and payments work and how to keep your account safe. Short answers, with links to the guides for more.

Getting started

Is WarCrest Online free?

Yes. Every zone, class, level, quest, event and PvP mode is free to play. The optional Power Up Store sells looks and time savers for gems, as the browser MMORPG page explains.

Do I need to download anything?

No. The game runs in your browser with WebGL, so there is no launcher, installer or patch. Every update reaches you the next time you open the page.

Which devices and browsers can I play on?

Any computer, tablet or phone with a current version of Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox and a steady internet connection. On an older device, set Graphics to Low and Frame rate to 30 in the game menu.

Can I play on a phone or tablet?

Yes, in the browser held in landscape, with touch controls, on the same servers as computer players. On an iPhone, add the game to your home screen to play full screen. The mobile page explains the touch controls.

Do I need an account, or can I play as a guest?

There is no guest play: every player signs up with an email and a password first, which keeps bots and throwaway accounts out of the economy. A password needs 8 to 64 characters with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter and a digit.

How old do I have to be?

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and play. Accounts made for younger players are closed, as the Terms of Service say.

Do I need a separate account for each server?

No. One account works on every server, and your gems and Gold Premium cover every character on it. Each character belongs to the server where you made it.

How many characters can I have?

Five on every server for each account. You can delete a character by typing its name to confirm: everything it carries goes with it, and its name is free again.

The game

What are the races and nations?

Humans fight for Valcrest and orcs for Gorzhak: your race is your nation. Everyone starts together in Emberfold, in the neutral land of Hearthmoor, and goes home at level 10. The beginner's guide covers the first hours.

Which classes are there?

Warrior (the tank), Rogue (a dagger assassin), Mage (ranged and area damage) and Priest (the healer). Each has nine or ten skills that unlock as you level, listed in the class guide.

What is the maximum level?

Level 60. Every level gives three stat points, and new skills unlock along the way. The leveling guide shows where to level.

What is there to do at the maximum level?

Fight the other nation in the Colony Zone for National Points and a place in the rankings, enter the Umbral Rift, take on the Ancient Colossus, and join the Crystal Clash and the War of Morgard. Raising your gear toward +10 is its own long road, described in the gear guide.

Where and when can I fight other players?

Hearthmoor and the homelands are safe from other players. From level 20 you can sign up for the Crystal Clash, from level 40 the Colony Zone is open PvP and the War of Morgard runs twice a week, and from level 50 the Umbral Rift opens. The PvP and war guide has every time.

What is the Crystal Clash?

A six against six battle between the nations every day at 14:00 and 22:00 Istanbul time, for level 20 and up, with sign-up 10 minutes before. The last blow on the crystal wins at once, otherwise the first side to 30 kills, and everyone who fights takes a coffer home.

What is the War of Morgard?

Every Wednesday and Saturday from 21:00 to 22:00 Istanbul time, players of level 40 and up fight over Morgard. The first nation to bring down the other side's War Keeper wins +5% XP, gold and drops for the whole nation until the next war.

What is the Umbral Rift?

A dark PvP zone with stronger monsters for level 50 and up. The Rift Gate in the Bowl opens at 16:00 and 20:30 Istanbul time for 20 minutes, you may stay an hour, and its monsters drop Riftstones for the Riftstone Reel.

Are there world bosses?

Yes. The Ancient Colossus rises in the Bowl at the heart of the Colony at 13:00, 19:00 and 22:00 Istanbul time, and the whole server is warned ahead. The homelands also have roaming mini-bosses.

Can I play with friends?

Yes. A party holds up to six players and every extra member adds 5% XP, gold and drops. From level 15 you can found a clan of up to 30 members for 10,000 gold, and your friend list shows when friends come online. See the parties, clans and friends guide.

Can I play with someone of the other nation?

In Hearthmoor, the neutral land around Emberfold, humans and orcs may party and trade with each other. Everywhere else parties and trades are for your own nation, and clans always stay one nation.

How do trading and stalls work?

Trade face to face with up to 8 items and any gold on each side, or from level 10 open a stall in town: it keeps selling while you play on or log off. The gold and trading guide explains both.

Can I buy gold or sell items for real money?

No. The store sells no gold, and buying or selling gold, items, characters or accounts for real money breaks the Terms of Service.

Which languages is the game in?

English and Turkish. Switch with the EN/TR button on the site, on the sign-in screens or in the game menu.

Where can I look up items and monsters?

The game database lists every zone, monster and item, with what each monster drops.

Store and payments

What are gems for?

Gems are the currency of the Power Up Store, shared by every character on your account. They buy Gold Premium, looks (wings, cloaks, hand glows and armor skins), the Market Scroll and Fortune Stones. Items bought with gems cannot be sold, traded or thrown away.

Is WarCrest Online pay to win?

No weapons, armor or gold are sold: gear comes from monsters, bosses and the blacksmith. The store does sell bonuses, and we say so plainly: Gold Premium, wings and cloaks raise XP, gold and drops, and the Fortune Stone raises the chance of one upgrade without ever making it certain. Hand glows and armor skins are looks only.

What does Gold Premium give?

For 30 days (500 gems) every character on your account gets +100% XP from monsters, +30% loot gold, +10% item drop chance, +5% NP from player kills, gold picked up by itself and no XP lost when a monster kills you. It also puts you ahead in the server's line when the server is full.

Do store items last forever?

No. Gold Premium and every look sold in the store last 30 days from the purchase, and buying one again adds its time. The Market Scroll lasts 30 days too, and each item shows the time it has left.

How much do gem packs cost?

550 gems for $4.99 (179 TL), 1,200 for $9.99 (349 TL), 3,000 for $19.99 (699 TL) and 8,000 for $49.99 (1,749 TL), bonus gems included. The site shows the price in Turkish lira when you visit from Turkey and in US dollars elsewhere.

How do I pay, and who sells the gems?

Gem packs are sold through Polar (polar.sh), the merchant of record: it takes the payment, charges any sales tax or VAT and issues the receipt. Your email must be confirmed first. The gems reach your account once Polar confirms the payment, usually within seconds.

What is an E-pin?

A prepaid gem code from an authorized reseller. Type its 16 letters and digits under Load an E-pin on your profile page: it loads its gems once, onto that account, and then stops working. Keep it private until you use it.

Can I get a refund?

Gems are delivered at once, so purchases are final once delivered, except where the law gives you a right to cancel or a refund. If a payment is refunded or charged back, its gems are taken back from your account. The Terms of Service have the details.

Account and safety

I forgot my password. What do I do?

Press Forgot your password? on the sign-in screen and we email you a link that works for one hour. For your safety the site gives the same answer whether or not the email has an account.

Why do I need to confirm my email?

A confirmed email is needed to buy gem packs and for invite rewards to be paid. Sign-up sends a link that works for 72 hours, and your profile page can send it again.

How do I delete my account?

On your profile page, in its last card, type your account's email and your password, if it has one. Every character is deleted and your email, password and share pictures are removed at once; payment records stay as the law requires, without your email. It cannot be done while a character is in the game, leads a clan or keeps a stall.

What is a character's share page, and can I hide it?

Every character has a public page with its name, nation, class, level, clan, National Points and look, and Share my character in the character window sends its link. Nothing about your account is shown there. You can turn these pages off on your profile under Share pages: they then show nothing and no picture is kept.

How do game notifications work?

Turn them on in the game menu under Notifications and pick what you want: the daily reward, the War of Morgard, the Rift Gate, bonus events, friends and stall sales. Nothing is sent while you are in the game, and on an iPhone they work only in the game opened from the home screen.

How do I report a player or a bug?

Select the player and press Report in their target frame; Block hides their chat lines and whispers. For bugs and ideas, use Feedback in the game menu, which can attach a picture of the game view.

What data do you keep about me?

The Privacy Policy lists every kind of data we keep, why we keep it, for how long, and every service that helps us run the game.

How do I contact support?

Write to [email protected]. Feedback you send from the game menu also reaches the team, and it can reply to your email.
