Parties, clans and friends guide
WarCrest Online is better with other people. This guide covers parties and what they share, clans and their grades, your friend list, chat and whispers, the rewards for inviting a friend, the daily login calendar and your first week goals.
1. Parties
A party holds up to six players. To invite someone, select them and press
Invite to party in their target frame, type /invite Name in chat, or
use the Invite button beside an online friend in your friend list. An invite waits 60
seconds for an answer.
- The player who sends the first invite leads the party. Only the leader invites and removes members (
/kick Name). - Anyone can leave with
/leave. - Logging out or changing zone does not throw you out at once: you have 90 seconds to come back.
- The party frame shows every member with their class, and
/p texttalks to the party only.
2. What a party shares
Members who are alive and within 60 metres of a kill share it. Every extra member adds 5% to the XP of the kill, to the gold of its chest and to the chance of item drops:
| Party size | XP, gold and drop bonus |
|---|---|
| 2 players | +5% |
| 3 players | +10% |
| 4 players | +15% |
| 5 players | +20% |
| 6 players | +25% |
- XP is split by level: a level 40 member gets twice the share of a level 20 one. Each share then follows that member's own level gap to the monster, so playing with a much lower friend is still worth it.
- Gold from a chest is split evenly between the members near it.
- Items go round the party, one each in turn, skipping anyone whose bag is full.
- Loot chests belong to the party for their first 15 seconds, so any member may open one.
- Heals and buffs cast on the party reach members within 30 metres.
3. Humans and orcs together
Parties are for your own nation, with one exception. Hearthmoor, the start region around Emberfold, is neutral ground: no PvP and no nation. There a human and an orc may invite each other and party, and the party shares XP, loot, heals and buffs as usual. The sharing stops at the neutral border: in any other zone each member only counts the party members of their own nation. Clans always stay one nation.
4. Clans
A clan is your nation's long-term group, open from the Clan tab (G). From level 15 you can found one for 10,000 gold. Its name is 3 to 16 English letters, digits and single spaces.
- Size: up to 30 members, of whom up to 4 are officers.
- Leader: invites, removes anyone, names officers and can hand the lead to another member (the old leader becomes an officer). A leader cannot leave while others remain: hand the clan over or disband it.
- Officers: invite players and remove ordinary members.
- Invites: type a name in the clan window, press Invite to clan in a player's target frame, or type
/cinvite Name./cleaveleaves the clan. - Clan chat: the Clan tab of the chat, or
/c text.
Everyone sees your clan above your name on your nameplate, and the leader's name is underlined. The clan window lists the members with their rank, level, lifetime NP and who is online.
5. Clan grades and clan cloaks
A clan climbs from grade 5 to grade 1 with the lifetime NP (National Points) of its members added up. Lifetime NP counts what was earned, so spending NP at a quartermaster never lowers the grade. NP comes from PvP; see the PvP and war guide.
| Grade | Members' lifetime NP |
|---|---|
| 5 (new clan) | 0 |
| 4 | 3,000 |
| 3 | 10,000 |
| 2 | 30,000 |
| 1 | 80,000 |
From grade 3 the Clan Stewards sell clan cloaks for gold to the clan's members: Edra in Valcrest and Borgash in Gorzhak. A cloak is worn in the Cloak slot and stays yours if you later leave the clan, but it cannot be sold or traded.
| Cloak | Clan grade | Level | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Clan Banner Cloak | 3 | 35 | 800,000 gold |
| Clan Warden Cloak | 2 | 45 | 2,500,000 gold |
| Clan Sovereign Cloak | 1 | 55 | 6,000,000 gold |
6. Friends
Open the Friends tab with O and add a player by name. The list holds up to 50 players of your own nation on the same server. It is one-way: adding someone needs no answer from them.
- Online friends come first, with their level and the zone they are in.
- A chat line tells you when a friend comes online.
- Whisper and Invite buttons beside each online friend start a private chat or a party in one click.
- With game notifications turned on in the game menu, the browser can also tell you when a friend comes back while you are away.
7. Chat and whispers
Press Enter to open the chat, type, and press Enter again to send.
The chat has three tabs: Global reaches everyone online on your server,
Party your party and Clan your clan. You can also start a line with
/g, /p or /c.
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/w Name text | Whisper to an online player |
/r text | Reply to the last whisper |
/block Name, /unblock Name | Hide or show a player's lines and whispers in this browser (/block alone lists them) |
/help | List the chat commands |
To keep the chat readable, Global takes one line every 3 seconds from each player (party, clan and whispers one a second), and nobody may send more than 5 lines in 15 seconds or the same line again within 30 seconds. Five refused lines in a minute mute the sender for 60 seconds. The game always says why a line was refused and how long to wait.
8. Invite a friend
Your profile page on the website shows your own invite link. When a friend signs up through it (with a password or Google) and gets a character to level 10, you each get 5 Novice XP Scrolls and 5 Novice Gold Scrolls. The link is remembered for 30 days, so your friend can sign up later. You can be rewarded for up to 10 friends, and the profile shows how many signed up and how many rewards you earned.
Your friend's reward goes into their bag at once. Yours arrives at once if one of your characters is in the game, otherwise the next time you enter. Your friend needs a confirmed email for the rewards to be paid.
9. Daily login rewards
The gift button beside the clock opens the reward window, and it opens by itself once a day when a reward is waiting. You get one reward a day for your whole account, put in the bag of the character you play. Days turn at midnight Istanbul time. A missed day is never lost: the next claim simply takes the next day, and after day 7 the calendar starts again.
| Day | Reward |
|---|---|
| 1 | 2 Novice XP Scrolls |
| 2 | 2 Novice Gold Scrolls |
| 3 | 2 Novice Attack and 2 Novice Defense Scrolls |
| 4 | 3 Novice XP Scrolls |
| 5 | The Solar Wisp hand glow for 1 day |
| 6 | 2 Novice HP and 2 Novice Speed Scrolls |
| 7 | 3 Novice XP and 3 Novice Gold Scrolls, 1 day of Gold Premium and the Crimson Knight armor skin for 1 day |
10. First week goals
For 7 days after you make a character, the reward window also lists that character's first week goals. Each one pays once:
| Goal | Reward |
|---|---|
| Reach level 5 | 3 Novice Attack Scrolls |
| Hand in 3 quests | 3 Novice XP Scrolls |
| Join a party | 3 Novice Gold Scrolls |
| Add a friend | 3 Novice Speed Scrolls |
| Reach level 10 | 5 Novice XP Scrolls |
| Try an upgrade at a blacksmith | 3 Novice Defense and 3 Novice HP Scrolls |
| Reach level 15 | Dawnfeather Wings for 1 day |
| Reach level 20 | The Lionheart Mantle for 3 days and 5 Novice XP Scrolls |
Every login and goal reward is a gift worth nothing to merchants: Novice scrolls last an hour each, and the wings, glow and cloak are store looks lent for the days shown. None of them can be sold or traded. The gold and trading guide lists what can.
- Join any party in Hearthmoor on your first day: it ticks off a goal and levels you faster.
- Add the players you party with as friends, so you see when they come online.
- Claim the login reward every day you play. Day 7 brings a day of Gold Premium.
- Every clan member's PvP kills raise the clan's grade, so an active clan reaches its cloaks sooner.
