Gear and economy
Gear comes from monsters and bosses, the anvil makes it stronger, and gold flows from farming into scrolls and back. Here is how it fits together.
Drops
Monsters drop gear near their own level: plain, magic and rare copies, each grade with more lines on it. Bosses add uniques of levels 40 to 60, one for every class. The database lists what each monster drops.
The anvil
Moradon's anvil raises weapons and armor up to +10, and jewelry up to +3. On weapons and armor the first three steps take gold only and never fail. From +3 every try burns an Upgrade Scroll and gold, and a failure destroys the item, so the higher steps are a gamble that grows with every +. Ludwig beside the anvil sells the Upgrade Scroll for 240,000 gold and the Blessed Upgrade Scroll, which gives better odds, for 2,400,000. Successes from +7 are told to the whole server.
The Chaotic Generator
Beside the anvil, the Chaotic Generator turns pieces into prizes: gems, the fragments of the Seven Disasters and the land's dark fragments each go in for a reward from their own list. The Red, Green and Blue Treasure Chests open there too, for a weapon or a Chitin or Complete piece: they are the Border Defence War's prizes (the winners a chest a grade up), and a few of the Colony Zone's and Bifrost's monsters drop them. Its other tab takes a piece of gear apart for materials, for a fee of 10,000 gold (100,000 for a unique).
Bars
A Gold bar is worth 100,000,000 gold and a Silver bar 10,000,000. Ludwig buys and sells them at that price either way, so a bar is money you can carry and trade. The land's four strongest bosses drop Gold bars.
Farming
- Monsters pay gold by their level; the Colony Zone, Eslant and Bifrost pay twice a homeland's and roll their items more often.
- From level 40 monsters drop an Upgrade Scroll now and then.
- The strongest monsters of the Colony Zone and Eslant's level 60s sometimes drop a Blessed Upgrade Scroll.
- A party drops a little more for every member near.
